INDIA (Integrated Development Initiatives & Alternatives Foundation) INDIA NGO is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit organization registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act 1975 (Tamil Nadu Act 27 of 1975). The organization has been in operation since 1988 in different parts of Tamil Nadu. Over the years our focus areas, keeping in mind the needs and aspirations of the rural communities expanded to include poverty eradication, Health, Water, sanitation and Hygiene, Environmental Restoration, Disaster Management, Inclusive Development, and mainstreaming of disadvantaged sections of the community and Gender Empowerment, to name a few.

We envisage an integrated strategy to address the challenges of poverty, sanitation, and underdevelopment as they are very closely linked. For more than two decades, INDIA NGO promoted WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) in Rural India-winning accolades from the State and Central Governments for our unique contributions. WASH in Schools (WinS) is our USP (unique selling product). We promote Children as Change agents to achieve the desired results.

INDIA NGO is an accredited partner organisation for United Nation, specialized in Education, Health, capacity building on WASH, WASH in Schools, WASH in Anganwadis, and Female Hygiene promotion. The School WASH infrastructures are sustained by the active participation of various Stake Holders like Students & Teachers. We are specialized in designing user-friendly, Girl-friendly, and Child-friendly WASH infrastructures and Special Toilets for the Physically Challenged.
