Disaster Mitigation & Relief work

• Social mobilization activities for Post disaster recovery in the flood-affected areas of Kanchipuram District. (Chennai Floods-2015) Sensitizing the community on control of Diarrheal diseases, Awareness programmes in Schools on hand washing and “Mothers Meet” in Anganwadi centres on Food Hygiene (2016)
• Constructed Latrines for all the intermediate Shelters of Andaman – Nicobar Islands, where the Tsunami affected people were accommodated. (UNICEF supported Tsunami relief work)
• Promoted Tsunami affected Thennampattinam Panchayat of Nagapattinam District as “Nirmal Gram”- with the support of ADER France (930 House hold latrines constructed
• Constructed 240 Individual Household Latrines (IHHL) for promoting Tsunami affected Adhinarayana Puram Village Panchayat, Cuddalore District as a Nirmal Gram (2010)
